Basil Pakeman, M.D., F.R.C.S. is one of the few ophthalmic and cosmetic surgeons in the country who specializes in body sculpting with laser liposuction, fat grafting and liposuction. He has special interest in regenerative medicine. In additional Dr. Pakeman has extensive training and experience in oculo-facial surgery and rejuvenation using today’s cutting edge technologies. He is recognized as a Pioneer and innovator in minimally-invasive approaches in cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Pakeman is double board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and by the Royal College of Surgeons (Canada). Dr. Pakeman is a fellow of The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a diplomat of The American Academy of Ophthalmology. He serves as the medical director for Manhattan Surgical Care. Dr. Pakeman is among New York’s TOP Doctors who have carried out a significant number of body sculpting procedures and fat transfer.

Dr. Pakeman received his medical degree from the Rutgers University (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). His post-doctoral training included an internship at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City, an Ophthalmology residency at the Rutgers University (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey), a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital and an Oculoplastic Surgery externship at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.
