Cutting edge techniques in the eighties and nineties, such as meniscus repair or removal (with alloplastic or interpositional flap reconstruction), partial or total joint reconstruction, arthroscopic joint surgery as well as in office joint lavage were routinely utilized. Dr. Sternlieb relocated to the Coachella valley in 1993, and has been in private practice, in Rancho Mirage, to date. He is on staff in the Department of Surgery at Eisenhower Medical Center, in Rancho Mirage. He has continued to treat TMJ disorders via various therapeutic modalities, including minimally or noninvasive means, including “Therapeutic Magnetic Resonance” (“TMR”). Dr. Sternlieb is deeply dedicated to the welfare of his patients. He has enthusiastically committed himself to partake in the study of the therapeutic efficacy of adult stem cells for TMJ disorders, with its potential to revolutionize treatment.
