Khuram Akbar Sial, MD – Los Angeles, California

Khuram Akbar Sial, MD is double board certified Harvard and Baylor trained physician in both pain and physical medicine, as well as rehabilitation. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. He successfully completed an interventional pain fellowship with Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is a San Diego native who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Sial has serviced the Inland Empire for over 10 years by providing quality pain management services to his community. During his residency at Baylor College of Medicine, he was the recipient of The Lewis A. Levitt, MD Memorial Lectureship Research Award, and also an American Pain Society Scholarship. He is the only local physician that is pain fellowship trained with a background in physical medicine and rehabilitation.  He was voted as one of California’s Top 10 Pain Medicine Specialists, and also received Vitals Patient’s Choice Award in 2012, 2013, & 2014. He earned theVitals Top 10 Doctor Award in both 2013 & 2014, and theVitals Top Compassionate Doctor Award for 2014.

He is a member of The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and The Society of Interventional Spine. Dr. Sial has trained in percutaneous and endoscopic spine surgery under world renowned spine surgeon, Thomas Hoogland, MD of the Alpha Klinic in Munich, Germany. He is involved in clinical research for the developments of minimally invasive spine approach, collaborating regularly with American Spine Group physicians. He uses percutaneous and endoscopic discectomy to treat spinal pain. His commitment to helping patients discover alternatives to traditional invasive surgeries, like laminectomy and spinal fusion, led him to his work with the American Spine Group, a practice dedicated to the least invasive spinal treatments available.  His current goal is to conduct more research pertaining to the treatment of spinal conditions, herniated discs, and degenerative disc diseases via the use of stem cell therapy.

Richard Everard Gayles, MD – Orlando, Florida 

Dr. Richard Gayles brings a wealth of training and experience to his Lake Nona Medical Arts (LNMA) center. He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of Michigan in 1987, and received his Doctor of Medicine in 1991 from the University of Michigan. After graduation, he completed an anesthesia residency in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

He obtained further clinical experience in anesthesiology and critical care at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, England as a visiting registrar. Then subsequently completed a Chronic Pain Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, where he was awarded the “Fellow of the Year Award”.

He is board certified in Anesthesiology, and has been awarded certification for pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Pain Medicine, and the American Academy of Pain Management.
